It's a good time to be a DJ or a fan of tango music! The TangoTunes.com are adding the Anibal Troilo discography to their online store digitalized in high quality from original shellacs. The songs are available in MP4 and FLAC formats. Right now the collection consists of 48 Troilo shellacs that are available individually or in the three special offer collections "Cordon de oro", "Un placer" and "Buenos Aires". And more releases are coming!

You can listen to the currently available recordings available on TangoTunes.com in this Spotify playlist or below. There are a few songs missing but as soon as they are added to the TangoTunes shop I will be updating the playlist. You can check the full Troilo discography at tango.info. Be sure to check out the special 10% discount promotion on all the purchases of digitalized Troilo shellacs on Tanda of the Week!

I would like to remind you that buy purchasing music from TangoTunes you are also supporting the important work of the Tango Digital Archive.

Aníbal Troilo - Instrumental tangos 1938-1945 - Spotify playlist

Here is a Spotify playlist of Anibal Troilo instrumental tangos from 1938-1945. The playlist is in chronologial order based on the listings of www.tango.info of Troilo's recordings. Some of the tracks are in questionable quality but they were the best I found. Enjoy!

Aníbal Troilo y su Orquesta Típica - Archivo RCA "Milongueando"

Here are some of the highest quality digitalizations available of the classic milongas and valses of Aníbal Troilo. Highly recommended.

This album is available on Spotify - iTunes Store

Aníbal Troilo y su orquesta - El inmortal "Pichucho"

Here's is a great compilation from the early years of Aníbal Troilo y su Orquesta Típica. The album includes all the tangos recorded with Francisco Fiorentino in 1941, but not the valses "Bajo un cielo de estrellas" and "Tu diagnóstico" and the milongas "Mano brava", "Con toda la voz que tengo" and "Del tiampo guapo". All the classic instrumentals from 1941 like "Cachirulo" are fortunately included as well. The songs follow each other in chronological order.

The quality of the digitalized recordings is excellent and the recordings have a very natural sound with some background noise remaining but none of the high end frequencies are ruined by filtering too much. This is the highest quality compilation I was able to find on Spotify for these recordings from 1941 and I highly recommend it.

The album is available on Spotify - iTunes Store - Amazon

At "Tanda of the Week" you can listen to tandas with Anibal Troilo.
