Tango music on YouTube - the CantandoTangos channel

YouTube is a great resource for finding tango music and one of the channels I follow regularly is CantandoTangos. The channel has currently over 1,500 videos of tango music and above you can watch and listen to the "Uploaded videos" playlist. Below is the "Los Favoritos de Cantando Tangos" video playlist and later on I will be adding my own favorites playlist of the songs and videos available on CantandoTangos. A big thank you for CantandoTangos for their work!

Di Sarli / Rufino - discography on Spotify

Here's a Spotify playlist of the discography of Carlos Di Sarli with Roberto Rufino in chronological order. The list is complete besides the following three songs, which I've added in the end of the list as versions from other orchestras:

• Tarareando
• Canta, pajarito
• Si tú quisieras

You can find the complete list of and dates of the Di Sarli / Rufino recordings at www.tango.info. Check out also the Di Sarli / Rufino tandas at Tanda of the Week.

Francisco Canaro's milongas on Spotify

Francisco Canaro

There are suprisingly few milongas from Francisco Canaro on Spotify and the quality isn't that great either. However, here's a list of some of the more popular Francisco Canaro milongas that I was able to find on Spotify.

Ricardo Tanturi y Enrique Campos - Discography

One of the most important tools for a tango DJ is a well organized library of tangos. The dancers have no idea how much time we spend organizing, tagging songs with recording dates and trying to find the best quality versions of the songs available. Right now I'm working on these playlists of an orchestras or a singers dischography in chronological order, to find out which songs I'm still missing, and also to get a more clear perspective to the timeframes in which each song was recorded. Having a clear list of the recordings in order, will allow us to evaluate the progression of the orchestra and their selection of songs more thoroughly.

Here is a Spotify playlist of Ricardo Tanturi with Enrique Campos. The list is in chronological order based on the list of recordings of Tanturi/Campos from the www.tango.info website. The recordings were made in 1942-1946. Unfortunately the following songs were missing from Spotify:

• Qué será de ti
• Sombrerito
• Igual que un bandoneón
• Anselmo Laguna
• El sueño del pibe

I also know that some recordings from Enrique Campos with Ricardo Tanturi are missing from the list of www.tango.info like the milonga "Quién canta mejor que yo" (YouTube)

Osvaldo Pugliese & Alberto Morán

Recordings of Alberto Morán with Osvaldo Pugliese in chronological order. These were the best quality versions I was able to find on Spotify. Enjoy!

Check out also my latest Pugliese/Morán tanda at Tanda of the Week.

Edgardo Donato - Serie 78 RPM - Orquestas de Antaño

Here is some of the best of Edgardo Donato in excellent quality from the Serie 78 RPM collection available on Spotify. Enjoy!
